Volunteers pick up surplus bread and produce from local grocery stores. It is brought to the CIBC Christian Life Center for distribution to the refugees in the Clarkston community. The DeKalb County government conducts "English as a Second Language" classes in one of the CIBC buildings. Many of these students pick up the bread and produce items to help provide food for their families.
This photo shows the volunteers unloading the bread and produce that was picked up from the local stores that generously donate their surplus items to our ministry each week.
This photo is a close-up view of some of the produce items that are distributed to the refugees.
If you would like to get involved in this very important ministry, call the church office at (404) 296-6483 and volunteer.
